t's always very important to monitor the on Mail-flow for your organization and even more important to keep a close eye on your priority Accounts.
We need to know more about Monitoring Priority Accounts.

What are Priority Accounts?

Priority Accounts are the most important people in your organization, who can't afford to have email delivery issues. You guessed it right, your boss and most importantly people holding key positions like CEO, CTO, CFO, and other people on Company's Board.

Let's talk about the solution now, Microsoft has released a feature for your organizations, Monitoring of Priority Accounts is only available for an organization that has a large number of licensed users.

How to enable Exclusive Monitoring?

To begin with as always, login to the Admin Panel for M365 ( https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal )

  1. Expand the drop-down under Users and Select Active Users.

2. Click on Ellipses next to Filter option

Monitor Priority Accounts

Here, you can add up to 250 Accounts.

As I mentioned earlier, this is a place for key people in your organization.
Don't forget to add the Executive Assistants as well, if they have access to manage the mailbox and calendar.

3.  Search for the mailbox Account to Add or Remove Accounts from monitoring.

Add Priorty Accounts

After adding accounts to this list, they would be always on Active Monitoring. If there is any issue with email delivery, you would get an alert for it.

4. In case, there is an email delivery issue, you can check it under "Go to Report: Email Issue for Priority Accounts"

This would be redirected to Exchange Online Admin Center, you can dig in for more details.
fix the issue at the earliest before it becomes larger as it could be a case where it could impact others.

In Conclusion, this is a welcome feature in mail monitoring.
We all know how critical it is to have this in place to keep an eye on.
